Access
Access to ServerAssist's features is provided via a Microsoft Management Console
(MMC) snap-in or via a web-based interface. The MMC snap-in can be used when working locally on the
machine and can manage a remote machine over the network. Extensive taskpad support and wizards provide
a structured way to manage and configure ServerAssist. The web-based interface provides complete access
to the functionality from a wide range of platforms without the need to install any special client
software.
ServerAssist is ideally suited to those who need to access remote computers, such as those co-located
with an internet service provider, especially where access to the computer may be heavily restricted by
a firewall.
Although easy to use and fully functional, the web-based interface can be customised and tailored by
individual organisations, either to present a different look and feel to the application, for example
for conform to corporate standards, or to integrate ServerAssist with other business systems.
